We worked with one of our previous employers, a leading teaching and research institute in the higher education sector.
The institute, one of the UK’s top teacher training providers, faced significant challenges in managing its task management system for a series of operational areas of responsibility: estates and facilities, HR, IT and Finance. With outdated systems and increasing competition, they needed a comprehensive solution to streamline operations and stay ahead in the market. Whilst we could not wave a magic wand and upgrade their entire IT infrastructure, we were able to support them with internal feedback, documenting recommendations, and producing a written report and service catalogue.
Solution
Our team worked closely with the Institute to conduct internal interviews across varying levels of seniority and job titles. We then produced written and visual data analysis to highlight the main bottlenecks in their operations. Through anonymised data research, we were able to compile a written report to align correct levels of responsibility and to highlight deficiencies in resourcing and knowledge base.
We presented our findings to senior management in the faculty and to directors in the wider institution within that field of expertise (i.e. Finance, HR).
